Driving a change from a written spec/proposal before touching code, so intent and acceptance criteria are agreed up front. It’s how I run my infrastructure changes: an OpenSpec proposal, reviewed, then implementation — often by an agent executing against the spec. It front-loads thinking; the tradeoff is overhead on small changes, so I reserve it for non-trivial work.
